Mosasaur tooth

Mosasaurs were not dinosaurs but large, carnivorous marine reptiles. They grew to enormous sizes in the Cretaceous, some bigger than 50ft long, and ruled the seas at the time. They were related to monitor lizards and snakes.

These teeth are from Khouribga in Morocco and around 70 million years old.
